What We Do
Palliativity Medical Group is a Palliative Care medical practice, providing specialized medical care for people living with serious and/or chronic illness. We focus heavily on increasing the quality of life for our clients and their families by managing physical and existential pain, as well as many other symptoms of their acute and chronic illness. We also assist with advanced care planning, assess emotional needs, offer psychosocial and spiritual support, and help to identify appropriate community resources. Our office hours are by appointment only, and evening and weekend appointments are available.

About Palliative Care
Palliative Hospice Venn DiagramThe palliative care approach is designed to help manage symptoms and help patients and their families exercise more control over their care by improving their understanding of the choices for treatment. Palliative Care is specialized medical care focusing on providing relief of symptoms and stress of a life-changing injury or chronic/serious illness. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a chronic/serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment. Palliative Care is based on NEED, NOT PROGNOSIS.

The diagram on the right provides a visual to help describe the difference between Palliative Care and Hospice. Palliative Care helps EVERYONE diagnosed with serious/life threatening illness, regardless of whether they are receiving aggressive life-sustaining treatments or choose not to. All Hospice patients receive Palliative Care, but not all Palliative Care patients are Hospice.
