Who qualifies for a medical marijuana prescription?

To qualify for a medical cannabis card, patients must be currently suffering from one of the following conditions:

ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease
Crohn’s disease
Parkinson’s disease
Multiple sclerosis
Seizures
Chronic Muscle Spasms
Or any other ailment/condition of the same severity/symptoms as determined by a physician


Regardless of your diagnosis, all medical cannabis prescriptions are to be used with a vaporizer, not smoked like traditional medical marijuana.

At this point in time, the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use has listed out this process for getting a medical marijuana prescription. You will meet with Dr. Hanflink, apply for a temporary card, and use that to register online for your card. Once you send a payment to the state, they will send your card.
