Fully Alive Medicine (FAM) is the art and science of healing addressing care of the whole person – body, mind, emotions, and spirit. It combines conventional medicine and complementary therapies to promote optimal health and happiness; to prevent, treat, and potentially cure chronic illness by focusing on the multiple causes of dis-ease; and to help you fulfill your greatest potential. FAM is based on the core beliefs: love heals and anything’s possible.

FAM is a synthesis of Dr. Rav Ivker’s 46-year career as a family physician, holistic healer, cannabis clinician, health educator, and author. The evolution of FAM has been chronicled through his books, beginning in 1988 with the 1st edition (self-published) to the 4th ed. (Tarcher/Penguin – 2000) of the best-selling, Sinus Survival; Thriving (Crown – 1997), The Complete Self-Care Guide to Holistic Medicine (Tarcher/Penguin – 1999), and his latest book, Cannabis for Chronic Pain (Touchstone/Simon & Schuster – 2017).

Through holistic health education, FAM’s primary objective is to empower and guide patients towards feeling more fully alive and more fully conscious – a state of well-being encompassing the 5 P’s: peace, passion, purpose, patience, and play!
