When Alaska legalized recreational marijuana, she applied to be on her local marijuana advisory committee. Nearly done with her application, the board commented that if she wanted to be part of the lawmaking team she could not be involved with retail cannabis. She made her choice, and Weed Dudes opened in Sitka on New Years Eve 2016. Staff: Weed Dudes is committed to educating Sitka patrons of their marijuana dispensary retail store, with knowledgeable budtenders more than happy to explain different strains, consumption methods and uses to any curious customer. As Alaska marijuana legalization continues to evolve, Weed Dudes is excited to offer one of the first smokehouse lounges in Sitka and the state.
