We understand that taxes are a tough subject since it is so high (not in a good way) in the cannabis industry. Some retailers include all the taxes into the list price, some retailers only include some taxes in the list price, some retailers discount some taxes randomly, and some completely separate the taxes all together. At the end of the day, every single licensed retailer must pay these taxes one way or another.
We made the decision to separate the taxes so it is clear where your money is going.
Here is the breakdown -
State Cannabis Excise Tax - 15%
Local Cannabis Tax - 6%
Local Sales Tax - 10.25%
Total Tax all transactions are subject to: 31.25%
If you have a Medical Marijuna Identification Card (MMIC), you will NOT be charged the Local Sales Tax & you will have a reduced Local Cannabis Tax of 5%. Your new Total Tax will be 20%
Since we are based out of Culver City, you are saving 4% on the Local Cannabis Tax. Most other counties have a tax rate of up to 10%.
We are currently CASH ONLY, however we will be accepting credit cards in the near future!
